Privacy Policy

Draft pending legal review. This document is a starting template and must be reviewed by qualified counsel before it is relied on. It is not legal advice.

This policy explains how Haulsky, Inc. handles personal information on our website and, as a service provider, on behalf of our business customers.

Our role

For data our customers enter about their drivers, employees, and business contacts, we act as a service provider / processor and process it only on the customer's instructions. For website visitors and account holders, we are the business responsible for their data.

What we collect

  • Account information: name, work email, company, role.
  • Operational data customers enter: loads, stops, documents, fleet and driver records.
  • Driver app data: on-duty location and speed (with consent), status events, messages, photos of documents.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and log information for security.

How we use it

To provide and secure the service, bill subscriptions, provide support and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information and do not use customer data to train third-party AI models.

Artificial intelligence and document processing

Some features use an AI service operated by a third party (today, Anthropic): reading uploaded documents such as rate confirmations, proofs of delivery and driver paperwork; drafting messages; and, only if the customer switches it on, scoring loads found on load boards. When a feature is used, the relevant text or image is sent to the AI service to produce the result. Document images can contain personal information, for example names, addresses and signatures. We send only what the feature needs, we do not use customer data to train AI models, and the customer can leave these features off. [Counsel: confirm the AI provider's retention and training terms before relying on any statement about them.] Scoring of load-board results is off by default and is not used on a load board's data unless that board allows it.

Load boards and other connected services

Customers may connect their own accounts at load boards (for example DAT, Truckstop and 123Loadboard), ELD providers, fuel cards, factoring companies and accounting software. A customer connects only its own accounts. Data from a load board is shown to that customer only, is kept for a limited time, and is not combined with other customers' data or sold. Connecting a service shares information with that service as the customer directs; the service's own terms and privacy policy apply to its handling of that information.

Sensitive information

Motor vehicle records, drug and alcohol test results and medical certificate information are restricted to authorized safety roles, with each access logged.

Retention

We retain data as long as the customer's account is active and as required by law (for example FMCSA and IRS record-keeping rules). Legally required records may be retained with personal data redacted where possible.

Your rights

Depending on your state (for example California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. If your data was provided by your employer or carrier, please contact them; we will assist them in responding.
